Tony Adams will give Arsenal fans a scare this weekend when he wears a red devil costume - the mascot of the club's rivals Manchester United.
The former England footballer, 56, is expected to dress up as the spooky character for Halloween Week on Saturday (29.10.22), according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Tony and his professional partner Katya Jones will dance to 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' by The Charlie Daniels Band this weekend.
While Gunners fans might be spooked to see their former skipper dressed as a devil, Tony himself is no stranger to being scared - by bats at his country home in Gloucestershire, south west England.
He said: "We get bats quite a lot in the house.
"We live in the country, sometimes they come in the house and I find that scary."
Tony has been the surprise package of the current 'Strictly Come Dancing' series after making it to week six, despite being one of the early favourites to be voted off the series.
The retired footballer is 26 years sober after his battle with alcohol addiction, but admitted it was a "miracle" he didn’t hit the pub after his first turn on 'Strictly', when he and Katya scored 15 out of 40 for their Tango.
He said: "When that first dance went the way it did, in the car home, I’m going, ‘This is tough, what am I doing?’
"It’s a miracle I didn’t run to the pub and drown all that sorrow. It was painful. I’ve cried a lot, but it was all right. You come out the other side.
"So I’ve grown emotionally through the experience because it’s a challenge.
"Katya has been perfect for me, to push all my buttons and show me how strong I am."
