Hamza Yassin had a "really deep level of rapport" with his 'Strictly Come Dancing' pro partner Jowita Przystal throughout the series.
That is according to Darren Stanton, a body language expert, who believes the winning pair of the star-studded BBC One Latin and ballroom competition were worthy victors, because the 32-year-old wildlife cameraman and the 28-year-old professional dancer displayed “synchronisation” during their turns on the dancefloor.
He said: "In the last few weeks of the competition, Hamza demonstrated a really deep level of rapport and excellent body language with his partner Jowita.
"There was also plenty of synchronisation, eye contact and reciprocal liking between the two during the final. As he won, Hamza appeared completely humble and grateful.
"He made a speech about his journey and how he had learnt a great deal about himself. I think his reaction to winning was consistent with why the general public voted for him, as he comes over as a genuinely nice person."
Darren also praised the ‘Countryfile’ presenter’s focus on “delivering” for the judging panel - made up of Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel-Horwood and Anton Du Beke - and the voting public, despite an initial apparent self-doubt.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair - https://casino.betfair.com/p/slots - the former police officer said: "I think the public like it when they see someone work immensely hard to achieve their dreams, which Hamza has managed to achieve over the course of the show.
"While the other contestants were determined to win, I think Hamza's attitude seemed to be different to the rest.
"He stated that he expected to be kicked off of the show by the second week, however he listened to judges' feedback, did his best and took every day as it came. His focus was not on the Glitterball trophy, but just on delivering a spectacular performance each week. He comes across as a very humble guy."
Hamza beat off competition from Helen Skelton, Molly Rainford and Fleur East to win the Glitterball trophy.
