Greg Wise would be "happy" to strip and have his chest waxed for a 'Strictly Come Dancing' routine, according to his daughter.
Gaia Wise was in the studio audience to support her 'Sense and Sensibility' star dad, 55, alongside her actress mother Dame Emma Thompson, 62, over the weekend, and she has revealed her father would have no qualms about manscaping for a dance.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "My dad will be manscaping for the show. He has manscaped for a lot of roles.
"When he did 'Walking on Sunshine' he was completely shaved. He manscaped all of his chest for that role."
The 21-year-old actress also admitted Greg could even groom his whole body to dance in the show's more dazzling outfits.
She said: "He has a six pack. We need to build him up to the sequins and then we will go full body.”
Gaia also went on to reveal how her dad had has been on a strict diet since signing up to appear on the Saturday night favourite.
She said: “He’s been avoiding processed food and heavy carbs, and has been having a lot of Epsom salts baths."
Greg has previously questioned the body hair situation himself when it comes to the programme's sequinned get up.
He quipped: "Do you want a little bit of white hair poking through a sparkly t-shirt? I don’t know."
Greg decided to take part in the show after being persuaded by wife Emma that it would be a touching tribute to his late sister Clare, who was a dancing fanatic until her death from cancer in 2016.
Gaia said: "Mum convinced him to do it in memory of his sister Clare who died and he loved. She loved dancing. I have seen him dance generally but nothing like 'Strictly'. Hopefully we will see the progression as the show goes on.”
Greg is currently competing in a star-studded line-up which includes 'Loose Women' panellist Judi Love, 40, and 'Hollyoaks' star Katie McGlynn, 28.
McFly singer Tom Fletcher, 36, is also taking part but he has been forced to pull out of this Saturday's show after testing positive for coronavirus along with his dancing partner Amy Dowden, 31.
In a statement, the BBC said: "Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden have tested positive for Covid-19. The pair are now self-isolating separately following the latest government guidelines.
"While they will both miss Saturday’s live show, 'Strictly Come Dancing' protocols mean that, all being well, they will return the following week."
