There could be tragedy on the horizon for our gang of misfits in Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2. The trailer for the epic two episodes of the series’ latest season dropped today (June 21st, 2022) and with it came a warning from fan-favourite character Robin (Maya Hawke), who says “it might not work out for us this time.”

As she and the rest of the group gear up for their most dangerous battle yet against the villainous Vecna, aka One (Jamie Campbell Bower), there’s still the small matter of getting out of Russia with their lives for Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour) and Murray (Brett Gelman).

With deadly assets having made the journey from the Upside Down to the real world on the loose, Vecna gaining power and killing youngsters in Hawkins with no regard for anybody but himself and, another whole season for fans to wait patiently for, it’s clear that there’s still a lot of story to be told by the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers!

Those who were left shouting at the screen during the final moments of Season 4, Episode 4 will feel a sense of nostalgia and warmth, as the subtle tones of Kate Bush and her single Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) play softly in the background as the teaser rolls.

Now back at Number 1 on the UK charts and indeed flying up the charts across the world, over three decades on following its original release, the song has found a whole legion of new fans.

Whether or not it’s going to be able to keep Max (Sadie Sink) and her friends safe for the rest of Season 4 however, remains to be seen…

Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2 comes to Netflix on July 1st, 2022. Seasons 1-3 and Volume 1 of Season 4 are available to stream on the service now.
