A new six part series following on from the BAFTA Award winning series The Trip is to broadcast on BBC Two from next month.
Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan will be returning to the channel with The Trip To Italy, directed once more by the award winning Michael Winterbottom.
They'll visit six different places and take in six meals from around Italy - Piemonte, Liguria, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi and Capri.
Asked by The Observer to do another series of restaurant reviews, Rob is tired of taking on the responsibilities that come with being the father of a young child and is ready for some adventure. Steve is glad to be coming back to Europe and hopes to see his children after living a life of abstinence and hard work in America.
Talking about life, work, love and exile, they discuss Byron and Shelley - romantic poets who defined their lives because of their time in Italy.
The series will show us the journey these two go on, the hotels they stay in, restaurants they eat in, kitchens and chefs that make each dish and the bill at the end of each day.
The Trip To Italy starts in April on BBC Two.
