Produced by Shiver, Steve Backshall will be coming to ITV with a brand new series, Fierce.
Taking on six epic adventures to Guyana, Mexico, Namibia, Indonesia, Australia and South Africa, the naturalist will be encountering some of the world's most impressive creatures including the most venomous snake on the globe, the Inland Taipan, the largest carnivorous reptile in South America and much more.
Steve will also be meeting the people living closely with the predators, including those who have survived an attack.
Speaking about the show, Steve said: "In the wildest corners of our planet, lethal predators stalk their prey. With scalpel shark teeth, venoms and poisons, camouflage and super-senses, these are the beasts of nightmare and legend.
"In this, my first series for ITV, I'm on an expedition to find these 'Fierce' predators, discover what makes them tick, and meet the people that share their world."
Executive Producer Sally Evans adds: "We're really excited to be working with Steve. His knowledge and fascination of fierce animals along with the people who encounter them promises to make compelling television."
Fierce will broadcast in the Spring.
