Previously ordering a television pilot for a series based on Stephen King's The Mist back in February, network Spike have now gone forward in ordering the show to series with details emerging about the first season.
Kicking off with 10 hour-long episodes, the series will begin filming later this year in the summer before premiering at some point in 2017. Danish writer Christian Torpe will serve as executive producer on the show with TWC-Dimension Television producing.
No word has yet been given on any actors linked to the series and there is nothing to suggest whether or not the television show will be following King's original story or branching out into one of its own.
In the modern world we see a lot of horror television do well through the likes of Bates Motel and Penny Dreadful, so giving the series 10 episodes immediately could be a great call by Spike to fully test the waters before branching out.
