Popular within the DC Universe fanbase, Stephen Amell has managed to bring a unique conception of the Green Arrow to the small screen through The CW's superhero series Arrow.
The first two seasons of the show saw Oliver Queen (Amell) do battle with villainous mercernary Deathstroke AKA Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) but since that point, the character has only shown up in a single episode of the third season before being left on the island Lian Yu, imprisoned in an A.R.G.U.S. facility.
Speaking at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey, Amell has expressed how much he'd like to see Deathstroke make a return.
He told fans: "Manu is a character, and Manu played a great character. And I really honestly think that Arrow has been missing something since he hasn't been around. I really do. He was a transformative villain. I would really love it if Deathstroke could keep being a part of the Arrow universe."
A return for Bennett may be possible, but he is currently working on MTV series Shannara Chronicles. It's something the actor may be willing to do in the future however, as he has publicly stated in the past that he was disappointed with how Deathstroke's season three return was handled. If the writers are willing to accept his criticism and give him a chance to come back, there's no telling just where his storyline could go.
Amell also gave teasers at the end of 2015 that revealed there would be an iconic battle in future episodes against a different member of the Wilson family, so this connection could bring Slade back to the forefront.
Arrow continues on The CW in the US Wednesday nights at 8pm ET.
