Stavros Flatley are set to split after their appearance on 'Britain's Got Talent: The Champions'.
The father-son dance duo - made up of Demetrios and Michalakis 'Lagi' Andreas - first appeared on the ITV talent show 10 years ago, but after making it to the final of the 'Champions' series, which will air on Saturday (05.10.19), they've decided it's time to go their separate ways.
Lagi, 23, is keen to depart the duo to concentrate on his barber shop in Cyprus, whilst his father Demi, 51, will continue to perform with his 17-year-old nephew Samson, who will take over from Lagi following this weekend's final.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Lagi said: "We've done this for 10 years for a joke.
"We've done so many amazing things but what is there left to do? We've done the Royal Variety, we've played in China, Monaco - everywhere.
"So when we got to 'The Champions', I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows."
Lagi is believed to be announcing his retirement from the world of dance during the final of 'The Champions', and so it is likely the performance will be their last together.
And although Demi is sad to see his son leave Stavros Flatley, he's excited to start a new adventure with Samson, whom he thinks will be a hit with younger fans because he has muscles.
Demi said: "He has a six-pack - I've given up getting one of those."
Stavros Flatley will battle it out against nine other finalists during the 'Britain's Got Talent: The Champions' final on Saturday (04.10.19).
