Stanley Tucci and Christopher Eccleston are to lead the cast of new Sky Atlantic drama Fortitude.
The Hollywood actor and former 'Doctor Who' star will appear in the new 12-part murder mystery drama, which takes place in the seemingly idyllic Arctic town of Fortitude.
The series will be filmed both in Britain and Iceland and feature a stellar cast including 'The Killing' actress Sofie Gråbøl, 'Call the Midwife' star Jessica Raine and 'Harry Potter' legend Sir Michael Gambon.
Sky Atlantic's director Julia Barry said in a statement: "Our audience loves great, world-class story-telling and so 'Fortitude' is a perfect fit for Sky Atlantic. We're thrilled to welcome Stanley Tucci - in his first British television role - and the rest of this amazing group of actors to the channel."
Stanley will play DCI Morton, a newcomer tasked with investigating the grisly murder which rocks the dream town. He will be partnered with local police chief Sheriff Dan Anderssen, played by Richard Dormer.
Christopher - who recently played the villain in 'Thor: The Dark World' - is set to play a scientist, Charlie Stoddart, who works at the Fortitude Arctic Research Centre.
Jessica will portray Jules Sutter, the wife of search-and-rescue pilot Frank (Nicholas Pinnock).
Sofie will play the town's governor, Hildur Odegard, while Michael will portray Henry Tyson, an ailing wildlife photographer near the end of his life.
