Stan Lee has created a superhero series that will star James Nesbitt.
Stan Lee has created a new superhero series titled 'Lucky Man', which will star James Nesbitt and air on Sky 1 in the UK.
The former Marvel Comics chairman - who created 'Iron Man', 'Spider-Man' and 'X-Men' - has announced his first ever British show titled 'Lucky Man', which will star the 'Missing' actor as a detective who can control his own luck.
Lee said: "Luck has always been a fascinating subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with audiences around the world. With all the creative projects I have worked on, I sure am a lucky man myself."
Nesbitt is to star as London murder detective Harry Clayton, who is given a charm that enables him to make his own luck by a mysterious woman.
Executive producer Richard Fell shared: "Lucky man is a different kind of superhero show - Stan has come up with an absolutely brilliant idea; something that we can all relate to.
"What if you could control luck? Would that be the greatest thing you could give someone, or their worst nightmare? It's a twist which brings the whole superhero genre right back down to earth."
Nesbitt, 50, will star alongside 'The Honourable Woman' actress Eve Best, 'Luther' and 'Fortitude' star Sienna Guillory and 'The Darjeeling Limited's Amara Karan.
The comedian Omid Djalili, Darren Boyd, Jing Lusi and Kenneth Tsang will also appear in the ten-part series.
'Lucky Man' will be made by the production company behind ITV's 'Downton Abbey', Carnival Films - which is owned by NBC Universal - in collaboration with Lee's POW! Entertainment and will air on Sky 1 next year.
We are looking forward to this
