‘Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over’ is returning to UKTV for a third series.
The investigative journalist – who rose to prominence for her social-issue themed documentaries on BBC Three - will be back on the small screen fronting a new season of her hit documentary television series ‘Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over’.
Following the success of the first two seasons, which were made up of six episodes, the award-winning documentary filmmaker will front a three-part special.
Stacey, 34, will meet extraordinary families and aims to lift the lid on the secret lives of their hidden, unusual and fascinating lifestyles.
One episode will include an International Women’s Day special, which will see Stacey spend a weekend with influencer and motivational speaker Harnaam Kaur, who’s daily battle with polycystic ovary syndrome has had a detrimental effect on her appearance.
Hilary Rosen, head of factual and factual entertainment, who commissioned the new series, said: “We're delighted to continue our collaboration with Stacey on further episodes of the 'Sleeps Over' brand.
"Once again, Firecracker have secured hard-won access to fascinating families across the UK and this series promises to be a powerful, entertaining and thought-provoking watch.”
Adam Collings, Channel director for W, added: “'Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over' is a huge hit with the W audience and a series that offers a real insight into the way that different families live. We can't wait to see who she visits next and the IWD special is an excellent addition to our celebrations on the channel this year.”
Alice Bowden, executive producer, said: “It's always a privilege being invited into people's homes and in this bold new series Stacey spends the weekend with a fascinating array of families who deal with themes and issues that are central to who we are and how we live in the UK today.”
