Snoop Dogg wants to work with Kym Marsh on a song - because he is such a huge fan of 'Coronation Street'.
The rapper - who also performs under the name Snoop Lion - is an avid watcher of the soap and his favourite character is Michelle Connor, portrayed by Kim, and he got the idea to have her in one of his videos.
Snoop is keen to have her in one of his promos so asked David Gest - who is a mutual friend of the pair - to speak to her about the possibility of a collaboration.
Quick-thinking David told the 'Wet' hitmaker about Kym's pop past in Hear'Say and suggested she could even sing on a track.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Snoop's gone on record a load of times saying he loves 'Corrie'. There's even been talk of him appearing on the show. His favourite character is Michelle Connor. He thinks she's very sexy.
"Snoop heard David knew Kym, so he asked him to approach her about being in one of his videos. David said she used to be in a pop group, so he suggested she could sing on one of his tracks. He spoke to Kym and she loved the idea."
Details of the collaboration are now being finalised and if things go well Kym, 36, will jet out to Los Angeles later this year to lay down the track and film the video.
Snoop, 41, has said on a number of occasions 'Coronation Street' is his favourite TV series and he has admitted he would love to have a cameo on it.
He previously said: "People always think I'm playing when I talk about 'Coronation Street', but I swear it's my favourite show on TV. They got everything - sex, murder, transsexuals. There ain't no other show that can touch it. If the producers write a cool storyline for me, I guarantee I will clear my schedule and come to do a two-week shoot."
