Sky bosses want to keep Alison Hammond "busy" with new projects.
The broadcaster's managing director of content Zai Bennett is delighted to be working with ITV's daytime darling on new TV-themed quiz show 'On Demand' and the network is keen to work with the hugely popular star on other shows.
Speaking at the Broadcasting Press Build's Sky event this week, Zai told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "She's just looking for the natural next step in what she does.
"This is a nice group of people to work with and she really likes [co-stars Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett]. She's friends with Rob and goes on holiday with him.
"I don't think we've got enough to keep her busy for the whole year and we don't really golden handcuff any of our entertainment talent, but we do keep them busy so they sort of feel 'a bit Sky.' "
Zai also hyped up the new quiz show, hailing Alison's "infectious personality" and revealing how much the live audience loved the 'This Morning' presenter.
He added: "Rob Beckett is hosting it and you've got Alison as a captain. She's a brilliant addition to Sky.
"She has such an infectious personality. I went to the recording of the show and the audience just did not stop cheering for her throughout it.
"Josh Widdicombe looked quite put out. He's the other team's captain and he looked quite grumpy."
Alison is certainly spreading her wings, and last month it was reported she has signed up to front BBC's 'Clear The Dancefloor', which sees zany amateur dancers compete against one another.
An insider recently said: "The BBC thinks it’s a real coup to have scooped Alison for their shiny new show.
"She’s in hot demand right now and is typically seen as ITV talent. Alison has loads of energy and the viewers at home absolutely love her.
“She’s refreshing and fun and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself. Excitement around the new series is really building.”
