Simon Cowell's head was set on fire during the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions.
The ‘BGT’ judge got a little too involved in the audition process for the ITV1 show when a silent and sleuthy magician took him up onto the stage and covered Simon’s face with a hood, which he proceeded to douse in lighter fluid.
The former 'X Factor’ judge’s head was then locked into a box, which was then opened at the front for the audience at the London Palladium to see, before a flame was dropped in, setting alight to the 63-year-old music mogul.
A member of the audience told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The audience screamed, judges were out of their seats screaming, everyone was totally stunned. The flames were put out and Simon got up looking a bit shell-shocked while the rest of the judges breathed a sigh of relief as he returned to the panel.”
Simon revealed he “had no idea” what was being dribbled on him.
He said: “I could feel liquid being poured on me but I had no idea it was lighter fluid!”
His fellow judges praised how “brave” he was.
Alesha Dixon ,44, said: “Simon, he set your entire head on fire!
"It was very scary, you are a very brave man to do that. It made me realise how much we care about you, I was ready to come up there and rescue you.”
Amanda Holden, 51, added: “It was massively entertaining but horrific to watch. It was scary.”
New judge Bruno Tonioli, 67, compared the sight to the 2004 horror flick ‘Saw’.
He said: “It reminded me of a scene from that movie, 'Saw', seeing Simon’s head in that contraption. I was captivated, I’ve never seen anything like that.”
