Simon Cowell has been approached about allowing special 'The X Factor' tissues to be made.
Tissue company Kleenex has made the move to the talent show's boss after the programme was dubbed "Sob Factor" following last weekend's Judges' Houses stage of the competition, when the majority of contestants broke down in tears whether they were put through to this weekend's live shows or not.
The company have also offered to sponsor the shoulders of the judges, Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, ahead of the start of the live shows tomorrow (12.10.13).
A Kleenex spokesperson said: "We've noticed already the number of times that judges and contestants have been caught sobbing on the spot without a Kleenex. All too often the A-list shoulder of a judge has proven to be a tissue replacement.
"We've seen the fan chatter on Twitter and in the papers that this series is more like the Kleenex factor and knew we had to do something to sort out the 'tissue issue'.
"We hope Simon agrees to ensure that judges and their tearful singer are never again without a Kleenex when they need one the most."
The brand is keen to create an exclusive designer KleeneX-Factor range of tissues for judges and has already come up with some possible names for the special edition tissues - Scherzinger Sniffles, Blubby Barlow's, Sobby Sharon's and Weepy Walsh's.
Simon is yet to respond to the approach.
