Simon Cowell never works Fridays because it's "just pointless".
The 64-year-old TV mogul has shared his secrets to living a happy life and he's confessed he has cut his working week down to four days and sticks firmly to his rule to always have a three-day weekend.
He told The Sun newspaper: "The first thing [I do] is take off Fridays. Don't work on Fridays, because you don't have to ... I’m not kidding about the Fridays.
"I don't think anyone should be working five days a week. It's just pointless."
Simon went on to share his other rules which include eating dinner early and refusing to look at emails or take phone calls in the evening.
He added: "Eat dinner at five o 'clock. Don't take calls after 5.30. Don't read emails after 5.30. Watch a happy movie. And stay outside."
The "Britain's Got Talent' boss also insisted everyone should try their best to find a job they enjoy because it is a huge factor in happiness.
He concluded: "Do something you enjoy. It’s that. I've really enjoyed doing this [my TV career]. I really, really have enjoyed it."
Simon gave himself a total lifestyle overhaul after suffering a nasty accident in 2020 when he took a tumble from an electric bike that left hi needing surgery.
He changed up his work and his diet and even started therapy to take care of his mental health.
Simon previously told The Mirror newspaper: "Fortunately I met some friends who had benefited from therapy. And that’s when I thought, ‘You know what? I’ve kind of looked after my body through diet, and exercise, pretty well over the years, but what have I done about my brain and my mind?’"
He also credited his partner Lauren Silverman with supporting his decision, adding: "She didn’t look at me like there was something wrong with me. She was the opposite. She was like, ‘I’m really happy that you’re doing this, Simon. I think it’s really going to be helpful for you to have someone outside of your work friends, people you already know, just to be able to talk about yourself, about anything you want. And if it helps, it helps.’ And she saw the difference I think in about three or four weeks."
