Simon Cowell is not quitting being on TV for good.
The 62-year-old music mogul recently confirmed he won't be on the judging panel of his new musical game show 'Walk the Line' as he wants to focus on his executive producer role, but the 'Britain's Got Talent' boss has insisted that isn't his plan for all his future projects.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s just this one, for now.
“Sometimes I just like to produce the shows, I just took everything into account and realised this was when I needed to step back.”
The ‘X Factor' creator enthused about working in production over “being in front of the camera.”
He admitted: “I actually enjoy producing rather than being in front of the camera.”
It was previously announced the new television show - which is set to debut on ITV and will air on six consecutive nights - will see Gary Barlow take on the role of head judge, and despite rumours of a feud between him and Simon, the Syco boss insisted he "loves" the Take That star.
He said: “I’ve known Gary for 30 years. I’m mad at him when he’s on other shows.
“Now he’s on my show and I love him.”
Craig David is also expected to be a judge on the show, but it was recently claimed Mabel has pulled out of the programme at short notice.
A source said recently: "Mabel was initially excited to be involved. But when she heard Simon had quit, she wasn't keen any more. His exit was a big factor in her decision to go."
Dawn French is rumoured to be lined up as a replacement.
Maya Jama has already been unveiled as the programme's presenter.
