Simon Cowell now realises he had "too much" Botox when he watches old episodes of 'Britain's Got Talent' - and says he fellow judge Amanda Holden also overdid the wrinkle smoothing treatment.
The 59-year-old media mogul enjoys viewing old clips of his talent show but he can now see that he and Amanda, 48, were overzealous with the muscle freezing injections in their quest to look their best for the cameras.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "I love watching 'the Botox years'. All of us are like, 'Christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year ... maybe a bit too much that year.'
"You know, the old clips of us are hysterical, Amanda's always like, 'What was I thinking?', I said, 'Well, I don't look a lot better.' I look all right now, but certain years it was like, 'Wow', I don't know what was going on."
Simon and Amanda - who are joined on the panel by David Walliams and Alesha Dixon - have always been open about their Botox use but in 2014 the stunning blonde revealed that she'd given up the cosmetic treatment.
On current series 'Britain's Got Talent: The Champions', Simon has been showing off the results of his 20lb weight loss and he achieved his svelte new figure by ditching his "appalling diet" on the advice of a doctor in Los Angeles.
He previously said: "This diet is all about what you put into your body.
"I met this doctor in LA and he told me my diet was appalling and I had to cut out fatty foods and certain drinks. I could see the difference. Cutting out sugar made a massive difference. The first few weeks were difficult, but then I actually stopped craving sugar. I had also found a brilliant gluten-free beer, which helps."
