The 'Strictly Come Dancing' head judge will undergo more tests on Friday (05.11.21) after blood tests recently showed she has "extremely low" oestrogen levels and "ultra-high" testosterone levels, which came after she went to her doctor because eagle-eyed 'Strictly Come Dancing' viewers spotted a lump under her arm while watching the BBC show.

But Shirley is not going to "dwell" on what could happen.

She said: "It's been the last two weeks - it has been like a whirlwind with everything else I've been doing.

"I was doing a Paso Doble move, put up my right arm and a couple of people got in touch and I kind of ignored it, and then there was about 11 people getting in touch so I thought, 'I better go to the doctor.'

"I went off to see my doctor, she had a little feel around and she couldn't feel anything but she had some past blood tests from a few months before. I hadn't gone back for the results - my fault - and she was alarmed by them.

"She redid all my bloods last week and she was alarmed by the testosterone levels, the lack of oestrogen levels and other things that were going on. So I'm going off for my test on Friday at King's College.

"I try not to worry because it's so busy and there are other people relying on me.

"I just keep moving forward. Don't dwell on it because it will be what it will be."

Shirley also heaped praise on the NHS for their speedy service.

Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', she added: "With me, the NHS has been really, really quick.

"I normally find out within a week to 10 days, I can get the results and then my doctor can go from there."

Last weekend, Shirley revealed she needs scans on all her organs after doctors found she has the "highest testosterone levels they have seen in a woman".

She said: "My NHS doctor is very good, so the fact that she is concerned makes me concerned - and she was mortified by my results.

"She said I have the highest testosterone levels she’s ever seen in a woman, and testosterone can wreak havoc on the female organs.

"So she’s requested an urgent scan of all of my organs at King’s College, London.

"She won’t speculate on what the cause is. She just says, ‘We need to deal with this. Let’s deal with the hormones and then see what else is there’.

"So I’ll have the scans and then I’ll be able to let everyone know what’s going on."
