Sherrie Hewson will walk her daughter down the aisle at her wedding in two months' time.
The 'Loose Women' panellist was reduced to tears when her only child Keeley, 30, went against tradition and asked her to accompany on the walk to the altar at her nuptials in October.
Speaking on the lunchtime show on Wednesday (17.08.16), Sherrie explained: "She surprised me the other day when she said, 'Mum, I want you to walk me down the aisle.' And I just burst into tears because that's just lovely, isn't it? I've been there all her life, I've seen her through a lot, we've been through a lot together and that is just going to be amazing."
However, Keeley doesn't want to exclude her father Ken Boyd completely and the former couple - who ended on bitter terms in 2001 - have agreed to stand together at the altar in the church and give their daughter away at the same time.
She explained: "Traditionally, when we get to the top of the aisle, when me and Keeley are standing there, so will be my ex-husband. We'll stand next to him and when the priest says, 'Who gives this lady away?' We both will say, 'We do!' "
Meanwhile, the 65-year-old actress recently admitted she was "anxious" about seeing her ex-husband at the wedding.
She said two months ago: "It's going to be incredibly difficult. I haven't seen him [Ken] since 2002."
Sherrie and Ken got married in 1983 and welcomed their daughter in 1984 but things came crashing down in 2001 when he admitted to having an affair. They officially divorced in 2011.
