Sherrie Hewson has taken all of the mirrors out of her house apart from one because she hates looking at her body.
The former 'Coronation Street' star - who portrayed Maureen Webster in the ITV soap between 1993 and 1997, and again in 2006 - doesn't like to see her reflection anymore, and insisted when she sees herself in the one mirror she has left in her bathroom she is "terrified".
Speaking on 'This Morning', she said: "I've taken all my mirrors out of my house now.
"But in my bathroom I have a big mirror, so when I get out I'm terrified because it's like a tsunami. Everything goes.
"I haven't got a big enough towel anymore."
'This Morning' co-hosts Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby insisted the 70-year-old star looks "tiny".
But Sherrie said: "Phil - I put everything into the tightest knickers. Like I've got on now, if I took them off now it would go ...
"It would be the most horrendous thing. We'd all have to pick it up.
"So all the mirrors have gone."
In August, the 'Benidorm' actress admitted she was drinking "too much wine" during the first coronavirus pandemic lockdown, and as a result she managed to go without a drink for six weeks.
She said: "When we first started lockdown, I began to drink too much wine, but then I thought to myself, 'You've got to stop'. So I stopped, for six weeks. Sometimes, now, I do have a glass of wine but really I've kind of knocked it on the head.
"I thought, 'I'm becoming fatter than I am already from eating, and it's a depressant.' I was drinking because of my brother's death. I thought, 'If you can disappear, you can forget.' The problem is, you wake up the next morning and have to remember, and you've also got a headache so feel five times worse."
