The 'Coronation Street' hunk - who portrays the blonde beauty's on-screen boyfriend Aidan Connor in the ITV soap - was blown away by how considerate he was when he was introduced to her 22-month-old child Alfie for the first time.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said of her handsome co-star: "He's the sweetest guy in real life. When my son Alfie first met Shayne, he was awestruck. Shayne held his hand and sang to him, and Alfie just stared back mesmerised."
The 32-year-old star was clearly getting into practice as him and his girlfriend Sophie Austin welcomed their first child - a baby girl - called Willow May into the world recently.
Taking to Twitter in December, he wrote: "Proud to share our incredible news. Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl. We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts. Our world. Willow May Ward."
As well as his busy career on the cobbles, Shayne is still working on his music and recently teamed up with Catherine for a song 'Get Here' on her debut album 'Rise'.
She said: "It's great working with Shayne as he's given me loads of tips on how to look after my voice. I used to gig before 'Corrie' - I sang jazz - and it was always my ambition to one day release an album. I promised my late grandad I would do it."
