Sharon Osbourne is planning on taking Sam Bailey to America to launch her career in the States.
The 'X Factor' judge is keen to take the hopeful - who is the bookmakers favourite to win the ITV show ahead of this weekend's final - across the pond and try to get her a US record deal as she believes the prison officer will be an inspiration to older women.
A source said: "Sharon is fully behind Sam and thinks she can have an amazing global career."
If Sam is crowned this year's 'X Factor' winner over fellow wannabes Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald this weekend, she'll receive a UK record deal with Simon Cowell's company SYCO.
However, Sharon doesn't think the 54-year-old music mogul will view her as being as potentially successful as previous contestants One Direction and Leona Lewis.
The source explained:"Everyone is working on the assumption that Sam will win and will bag the record deal with Cowell.
"While he thinks she can be a big success in Britain, he doesn't see her as having a big global impact like One Direction or Leona Lewis."
Sharon, who lives in Los Angeles, California, for most of the year, is confident the 26-year-old star can achieve similar success to 2009's 'Britain's Got Talent' winner Susan Boyle and is planning to take her on her US chat show 'The Talk' in order to boost her profile.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Sharon thinks Sam could be as big as Susan Boyle around the world and is determined to help her. She wants to take her on her American chat show 'The Talk' and says she will even help introduce her to music executives in the States."
