Sharon Osbourne won't be persuaded to stay on 'The X Factor' for longer than one series.

The 60-year-old returning judge - who swiftly quit the talent contest in 2007 due to her conflict with fellow panellist Dannii Minogue - is adamant she'll only be on the programme short-term because her main priority is her daytime US chat show 'The Talk' on CBS.

She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I live in America and I have a show in America that I do every day. It's just the perfect fit for me. Last time I left in a very unprofessional way, two weeks before the auditions started and not under good circumstances.

"It wasn't that they were p***** off with me, I was p*****off at myself.

The no-nonsense panellist - who has children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Aimee Osbourne, with her husband Ozzy - is confident her decision to stay won't be swayed even if big boss Simon Cowell was to return because she wants to spend time with her grandchildren without work commitments getting in the way.

She explained: "There are other priorities in my life right now. I never had the luxury of being able to be with children all the time - I had to work. But I don't want to waste those years with my grandkids. I want to be there for them."
