Sharon Osbourne dominated the first day of 'X Factor' auditions following her return to the show.
The 'Talk' host overshadowed fellow panellist Nicole Scherzinger - who won last year's series with James Arthur - by slamming wannabes with her "flamboyant" put downs at the marathon 10-hour Glasgow auditions at the city's Hilton hotel on Tuesday (04.06.13).
A source said: "Nicole enjoyed being the wacky one who would say silly things and get loads of attention last year. But in Glasgow she struggled to get into the limelight as Sharon was always hogging it.
"Nicole likes Sharon but has got to raise her game or she'll end up on the cutting room floor."
Sharon was so involved in the auditions she fell off her chair at one point while laughing so much at a hopeless hopeful.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Sharon certainly made the most of her comeback. She sat in the middle of the panel and had something flamboyant to say about every act."
Less than half of the 50 wannabes trying out for the ITV talent show were asked back for the next round, and among those attempting to make an impact was Jade Richards, who returned to the show for her third audition.
Jade previously made the Judges Houses stage of the competition in 2011 before her mentor Kelly Rowland gave her the boot, and she tried to gain success on the programme again last year.
Sharon, Nicole and fellow panellists Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh head to Birmingham on Monday (10.06.13) for the second round of auditions.
