Shane Richie has tipped Sir Mo Farah to land a role in 'EastEnders' after he channelled Phil Mitchell on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The former Albert Square star - who played Alfie Moon on the show - revealed the Olympic legend is a huge fan of the BBC One soap and he thinks Mo has what it takes to be a new regular in Walford, after he taught the runner how to walk and talk like the soap's Phil (Steve McFadden).
Speaking on last night's (02.12.20) episode, Shane said: "He’s moving along nicely with the East End accent.
"I reckon if we’re here for another couple of days, he could be a new reg in the Queen Vic."
Mo was delighted with his 'EastEnders' lesson from Shane.
He said: "I learned some more cockney from Alfie. I just remember Phil Mitchell telling someone off or him not being happy with someone."
Shane walked around the camp's fire shouting out lines Phil might say, and Mo followed behind repeating them.
They included: "Alfie - this is my manor!"
This comes after Shane and 'Coronation Street' actress Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald) admitted they would be up for a crossover spin-off series following their stints in the castle.
The campmates took part in a pub-based challenge on Tuesday night's (01.12.20) 'I'm A Celebrity' episode, for which they got into character as their soap alter-egos, Liz and Alfie, both of whom have run fictional boozers, Weatherfield's Rovers Return and Walford's Queen Vic.
As they prepared to start their challenge - in which they had to put 10 pub names in order of the most popular, but were squirted with out-of-date beer if they gave an incorrect answer - Shane said: "Liz and Alfie behind the pump."
Beverley said: "This is going to give us a spin-off series I think ... or we'll never work again."
