Seann Walsh was "very scared" to sign up for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' after his 'Strictly Come Dancing' experience.
The 36-year-old comedian sparked controversy in 2018 when he was pictured kissing his married pro partner Katya Jones, which led to his breakup from Rebecca Humphries, while the dancer has since split from fellow pro Neil Jones.
Speaking before heading into the jungle, Seann said: "As you can imagine, I was very scared, after the last time I was on a big show, because the fallout was not something you would want to go back to."
The star - who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Grace Adderley after three yars together - revealed his partner "convinced" him to take part.
He added: "Grace talked me into doing it. She convinced me it was the wrong attitude to have, not doing it, because I feared what people would think.
"It seems taht every single person that does the jungle says it's the best experience of their life - so I'm up for that.
"I'm up for the best experience of my life. Who wouldn't be?"
Seann - who will be entering the camp on Wednesday's episode (09.11.22) alongside former Health Secretary Matt Hancock - admitted he is hoping to change public opinion about himself on the show.
He said: "People have voiced their feelings about me and I am hoping they will see I am very different. I want to create new memories.
"Over the years, I've read a lot of things about myself and, you know, it does hurt.
"I'd love for it to be a kind of new start - and just maybe change opinions. That would be really nice."
When it comes to being in the jungle itself, Seann admitted his big fear is rats.
He explained: "I am not too pleased about rats being in there. I am not naturally a brave man - my tactic is to pretend it is not happening until we must do whatever it is."
