Scott Saunders has quit the 'Apprentice.'
The business hopeful has reportedly turned his back on the BBC One show after Lord Alan Sugar and his aides tore into him "like a pack of vultures" in the boardroom.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Scott took a battering from Lord Sugar and his aides. He said they went for him like a pack of vultures. Lord Sugar was absolutely ruthless.
"He tore apart everything that Scott had done from start to finish and called him a waste of space.
"He did everything he could to make him look totally inept, idiotic and useless as a businessman.
"He kept saying that there was no point in him being there, that he had made stupid decisions and that he had brought nothing to the task. He even said that Scott's performance had been the worst ever seen on the show.
"Scott tried hard to defend himself but they were not having any of it. They just carried on, hit after hit."
Despite being slammed with criticism in front of his fellow contestants, Scott, from Herefordshire, tried to keep his cool and thanked them for the opportunity before storming out.
The insider explained: "He said to the panel, 'Thank you for the opportunity, but I quit.'
"That was when Lord Sugar lashed out, saying he did not want him to be part of the show anyway and he was glad.
"The producers had no idea what he was going to do, so by the time they realised what was happening it was too late."
Scott's unexpected exit left the show in complete chaos as producers have been forced to reshuffle the plan to ensure the right number of candidates are now left in the final.
