Scarlett Moffatt's nan thought she was dead after reading a nasty troll comment.
The former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' star has recalled her gran once rang her in a panic to check she was still alive after a social media user had cruelly claimed the 30-year-old TV presenter had passed away.
She said: "My nan once rang me and she went, 'Hello ...' And I was like, 'Are you OK?'
"And she went, 'Oh, thank god for that.'
"I asked why and she said, 'I was just checking you weren't dead. Somebody had said on the internet they had seen you were dead.' "
But Scarlett was pleased to reassure her nan that she was very much still alive and kicking.
Speaking on the 'Good Finds' podcast, hosted by Rachel Parris, she added: "I was like, 'No, I'm definitely still here. Still alive.' "
Last month, the former 'Gogglebox' star admitted she always direct messages her trolls and sends them the Samaritans' phone number.
She said: "I've never been in a place where I've wanted to project that much hate onto someone.
"So whenever I do get trolled really badly I send them a private message and I'll give them the number for Samaritans."
Scarlett has been on the receiving end of some "horrific" trolling in the past, which led her to reaching out to the charity - which provides emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide - and she admitted "99 per cent of the time" she DMs one of her haters they apologise for their comments and say they will call the helpline.
She said: "I'll say, 'Are you OK? Call this number if you need help.'
"And I would say 99 per cent of the time, they apologise and say, 'Yeah, I will.' "
