Sarah Lancashire would never return to 'Coronation Street'.
The 53-year-old actress is adamant she'd never reprise her role as Raquel Watts - a part she played from 1991 until 2000 - because the long-running soap isn't the show she once knew.
She's quoted by The Sun Online as saying: "No ... The show I was in doesn't exist any more. Now do the next question - 'Would you ever go back?' No."
And it seems Sarah isn't the only one who is unimpressed by 'Corrie' recently as Carol Vorderman asked producers to turn the show around because she hasn't laughed watching it since last year and has admitted even comedienne Mary Taylor - played by Patti Clare - who is known for her hilarious one-liners, has been slapped with some sombre storylines recently.
Taking to her Twitter account recently, Carol said: "I've put this on my list to Santa this year..
"PUR-LEAZE Father Christmas make Corrie funny again....the last time I had a laugh watching it was in about September 2016.. even wonderful Mary is now tragic. #BringBackCorrieComedy (sic)."
And some of Carol's fans agreed with her as some had said they'd given up watching in recent weeks.
To which the 56-year-old star replied: "Agreed.....just watching the bit where Anna (bless her) who has just nearly murdered Eileen, Rosie not said that Phelan went into the office to plant evidence, Anna and Fay(e) lying in a car surrounded by police and Anna says to her "Faye have I ever let you down?"...er....????? (sic)"
But there was certainly no humour over the festive season as fans have just seen Carla Connor (Alison King) reveal that she has kidney failure and needs an operation desperately.
