Sarah Jayne Dunn parties at awards ceremonies more than she used to since becoming a mum and a wife.
The 'Hollyoaks' actress married personal trainer Jon Smith, with whom she has two-year-old son Stanley, in May, and the star has admitted since then she has made the most of her nights out at glitzy awards bashes, but cannot go too crazy because she gets "double hangovers" nowadays.
Speaking at the Inside Soap Awards, Sarah exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think I do more partying now than I used to because I actually get a night off. Being a mum and being a wife now, so I probably do more partying than I used to.
"I get double hangovers now though. I'm in work tomorrow so I've got to take it a little bit easy.
"I love the Inside Soap Awards, this is one of the most fun events to come to.
"It used to fall just around my birthday, so it used to be my birthday celebrations."
The 37-year-old actress - who plays Mandy Morgan on the Channel 4 soap - is keen to see her alter-ego involved in some more "light-hearted" scenes after Mandy and Darren Osborne's (Ashley Taylor Dawson) affair was exposed earlier this year.
She added: "I would like to see a bit more fun. She's been having an affair recently and she's brought that drama herself, but she can be really fun and really silly, and really light-hearted.
"I would like to see a bit more of that brought back in because people forget she is quite a loveable, playful character.
"Hopefully there will be a bit more fun and excitement."
Mandy returned to the Hollyoaks village in July 2017, but Sarah admitted she felt "nervous" about going back to work so soon after giving birth.
However, she was pleased to have a support network of fellow 'Hollyoaks' mums to share stories with in the green room.
She said: "It's nice having that support and kind of going, 'Actually, I felt nervous, and I didn't know how I was going to cope.'
"I think every new mum feels like that. It's nice to pass on that reassurance and knowledge. This is what we all go through.
"We all have that fear of going, 'Am I being selfish? Should I feel guilty?' It's totally natural.
"It's good to have other people to talk to and social media users to go, 'That's the reality of it, don't feel ashamed of feeling like that.' "
