Sandi Toksvig's TV show 'The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge' has been axed by Channel 4.
The former 'Great British Bake Off' star returned to TV in March 2022 to host the show which featured designers putting their creative skills to the test by renovating a dilapidated mansion - however, it's now been revealed the series won't be coming back as it's been cancelled after just one season.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 told the MailOnline: "Every year, Channel 4, like all broadcasters, makes decisions about which shows to rest, return or conclude to ensure we always innovate and offer viewers the best range of programming. The decision not to recommission 'Big Tiny Design Challenge' was not financial."
It comes shortly after channel bosses decided not to bring back game show 'You Won't Believe This' after just one series which aired last year.
The show featured amateur sleuths trying to work out which member of a group of suspects was telling the truth as they recounted shocking stories. They were able to interview each contestant in an interrogation cell, and if they correctly guessed who was telling the truth, they would walk away with a cash prize. However, if they got it wrong, the suspect won the money instead.
A spokesperson for the channel insisted the decision not to renew 'You Won't Believe This' also had nothing to do with financial reasons.
The show was hosted by comedian Ellie Taylor, who also had another one of her projects 'Let's Make a Love Scene' - which featured contestants acting out scenes from rom-coms - fail to win a second series with Channel 4.
