Samantha Womack has agreed to do another year in 'Eastenders'.
The 40-year-old actress returned to Albert Square earlier this year as Ronnie Mitchell for a short-term stint, but after discovering the plans of new show boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins for her character, she's decided to remain on board.
Speaking to SoapSquawk, she said: "With Dom taking over I think the show is really going to flip. I got really excited about it and wanted to be a part of that."
Dominic worked as a story producer on the BBC soap before returning as the executive producer, and he has vowed to shake things up for the residents of Walford.
Samantha said: "When I came back the first six months were a bit wishy-washy, I didn't really come back with an impact at all, I was treading water waiting for Dom.
"But now Dom's back and we want to kick a**e!"
Linda Henry - who plays Shirley Carter - admitted she almost quit 'EastEnders' this year after landing a number of quiet storylines, but she had a swift change of mind after it was revealed Dominic was on board again.
She told InsideSoap magazine: "I had a very quiet year and was considering leaving, but I got a call to say Dominic Treadwell-Collins was taking over the show.
"He's so exciting and passionate about 'EastEnders'."
