Samantha Womack felt emotional on her return to 'EastEnders'.
The 40-year-old actress reprised her role as Ronnie Mitchell on Monday night's (09.09.13) episode and despite feeling anxious about her returning to the show, she soon settled back into life on Albert Square with the help of her co-star and good friend Rita Simons (Roxy Mitchell).
She told BANG Showbiz: "Yeah it was emotional. I was a bit nervous but after the first day it was easy. It was really nice. When you get older you like familiarity.
"Me and Rita laugh so much together."
Rita is delighted Sam has returned to the BBC One soap two years after she quit the show following the controversial cot death storyline, which saw Ronnie steal Kat Moon's (Jessie Wallace) baby, but now that the blonde beauty is back in Walford Rita insists it feels like she has never been away.
She added: "Sam being back is amazing. I've wanted her back the whole time she's been away. I've been asking her to come back the whole time she was away.
"Now she's back it's like she never left really."
