Samantha Womack and Rita Simons get through their dramatic 'EastEnders' storylines by being "weird" on set.
The 40-year-old blonde - who has reprised her role as Ronnie Mitchell - and the 36-year-old star (Roxy Mitchell) spend the majority of their time laughing when they are filming scenes on the BBC One soap to ensure their "serious" storylines don't get them down.
Samantha told BANG Showbiz: "It's nice to go back and be weird. I shouldn't say weird really but we just laugh so much together.
"We always have funny phone calls. It's fair to say we have a proper sibling relationship going on.
"We have a good time and we laugh a lot so it's quite nice because we do quite serious and dramatic storylines so it's good to release energy, which we do quite a lot."
Samantha has returned as Ronnie on a six-month contract and admits she didn't want to come back to Albert Square on a longer deal just yet because she's not sure how her alter-ego will fit in on the soap this time around.
She added: "At the moment it's just six months but I'm just going to see how Samantha survives going back."
