Samantha Womack was worried people didn't think she could act when she was playing EastEnders' Ronnie Mitchell.
The 40-year-old star is to reprise her role in the BBC One soap two years after bowing out of the show, but she used to get concerned her acting skills were not coming across very well because her alter-ego wasn't very active.
She said: "Ronnie is very sad and damaged. She doesn't move, she's emotionally repressed.
"You get the worry that after three years of doing that, people will say, 'She cant act, can she? She never moves.' "
The blonde stunner was relived to be able to star in a more active role as bubbly beauty Tanya in comedy drama 'Mount Pleasant' alongside her fellow former 'EastEnders' star Nigel Harman.
She added to OK! magazine: "It's nice to go back to comedy. It's where I began with 'Game On'. It was lovely to be vivacious and active again.
"Tanya is bubbly and loud on the surface.
"Tanya drinks a bit, likes chocolate, is a mild kleptomaniac, slightly bipolar, and flirtatious with everyone.
"I've never played character that's even as mildly insane."
