'X Factor' wannabes Plastic have been dubbed the new Rylan Clarks.
The boy band - Sam Morris, Tom Davies and LuLu Smith - wowed judges Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh with their colourful hair and outrageous outfits during their audition, and they are now being tipped to shoot to fame in a similar way to the former contestant-turned-TV presenter.
Nicole - who mentored Rylan in last year's 'X Factor' series - said: "Rylan could be in Plastic. They are so much fun. I know Rylan will love them."
Gary - who regularly criticised Rylan's singing last year - added: "I think Rylan could have been in there somewhere."
The trio have already dubbed their internet followers "The Fantastics" and love to perform covers of songs by the likes of One Direction, Soft Cell and Gwen Stefani.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "'X Factor' needs memorable acts and ones that will get the viewers divided.
"In the past the likes of Jedward, Rylan, Johnny Robinson and Wagner have all done that.
"Plastic could be the one for 2013. They will definitely be on the show."
