Sam Bailey thinks Harry Styles would make a great 'X Factor' mentor.
The 36-year-old hopeful was given a pep talk by the One Direction heartthrob - who was catapulted to the spotlight alongside Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson on the singing contest in 2010 - and she thinks he has the right attitude to keep contestants' spirits up through the demanding contest.
She told OK! magazine: "I was having a fat day and thinking I was going home and Harry found me upset in the corridor, put his arm around me and said, 'Come with me.' He was really sweet, hugged me and said, 'Sam Bailey, I want to see you go out there and smash it.' He'd make a good mentor in a few years."
Sam - who is favourite to win the competition - finds it hard being away from husband Craig and their two children Brooke, eight, and Tommy, four, but she and her spouse know the show will help them have a better life.
She said: "It's hard being away but they're my main reason for doing this. I just want them to have a really good life and have things I never had when I was younger.
"I have to remember that and Craig reassures me they're OK."
Craig agrees, and added: "The kids probably don't see that this will better their lives but that's what we're doing it for."
