Sam Bailey at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2013
Ozzy Osbourne has been offering advice to Sam Bailey.
The 'X Factor' favourite says the most surreal moment of the ITV competition has been chatting to her mentor Sharon Osbourne's rocker husband in a three-way phone conversation, in which he told her the Osbourne family are her biggest fans.
Speaking at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2013 presented by Vauxhall Adam, Sam told BANG Showbiz: "I spoke to Ozzy on the phone at the house, that was quite weird. They were in their house in bed, as you do at night time, and I was having a three-way conversation. It was one of those moments where you go, is this really happening?
"Ozzy was going, 'Tell Sam this!' And she was relaying it to me. And I was going, 'Tell Ozzy that!' I could hear him in the background, it was really strange. He was saying, 'We think you're amazing, ask her if she wants to come and see the [Black Sabbath] show at The O2!' "
The prison officer has been having less luck during her nightly chats with her two children, however, and revealed they were more interested in speaking to their favourite acts, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald.
Sam laughed: "[They love] Nicholas and Luke. When they're Skyping me at night they're asking me where Nicholas and Luke are. 'I'm missing you, where's Luke? Where's Nicholas? Can you get my autograph from Little Mix?'
"They're loving it. I don't mind if they're not missing me as long as they're fine. I'm the one that's struggling not them."
Sam will be facing off against teen heartthrobs Luke and Nicholas as well as boy band Rough Copy in the live semi-finals this weekend (07.12.13).
The 45-year-old singing sensation was joined by the likes of Mollie King, Lawson, McBusted and Rebecca Ferguson on the red carpet at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards 2013.
