Sally Dexter's 'Emmerdale' character has taught her to "be a party person".
The 61-year-old actress credits her Dales alter-ego Faith Dingle for teaching her to "let it go a bit more", and she enjoys playing the character's "passion for life".
She said: "Faith has a wonderful quality of being a party person. I've never really been that, so I'm learning from her.
"I'm learning to let it go a bit more, which is nice. I'm quiet grateful to her. She's a naughty woman.
"She can't help herself, she's got a lot of mischief in her and a lot of life.
"She's made loads of mistakes, but hey, don't we all?"
Sally is loving being in her 60s, partly because the star doesn't concern herself about what others think nowadays, after she was "more of a worrier" in her younger years.
Speaking to Woman's Weekly magazine, she added: "Given the choice, I would rather keep what I have now than have that time back; I was terrible in my youth.
"They say, be a warrior, not a worrier.
"In my youth I was more of a worrier; now I'm more warrior.
"I love being in my 60s. I think there are real advantages to it."
Sally reprised her role as Emmerdale's Faith in February, after the character departed the Dales in October 2019.
And the actress admitted she didn't watch much 'Emmerdale' during her break from the soap, because she wanted to be "genuinely surprised" upon her return.
She previously said: "It's just like walking into a family home. A rather dysfunctional one!
"I knew I was coming back a little while ago and in one way I thought it's quite good not to know and be genuinely surprised."
