The co-stars - who got engaged during the COVID-19 lockdown - have finally wed, with Sally, 41, taking to Instagram to share the news.

She posted a picture of them kissing inside a large balloon wreath and wrote: "We did."

The couple's 'Corrie' co-stars rushed to congratulate them, with Alan Halsall writing: "He @johnny_duttine_ has done very well !!! Sending [love] to a gorgeous couple."

Alexandra Mardell wrote: "Congratulations!!!!", while Katie McGlynn added: "You got THE picture! Congratulations".

Kimberly Hart-Simpson commented: "Oh my loooooooord Yess! Happy ever after," and Samia Longchambon sent her well wishes, writing: "Omg look at you two. Congrats you gorgeous humans."

Sally, who plays recovering drug addict Abi Frankin, met Joe, 51, who plays Tim Metcalfe on the set of 'Coronation Street' and they began dating back in 2018.

In 2020, Joe surprised fans by announcing on Twitter that he had proposed.

The pair had originally planned for a Christmas 2021 wedding but had to postpone due to COVID-19 delays.

Sally previously said: "I’m obsessed with Christmas, so when Joe said: ‘What’s your favourite time, when would you most like to do it?’ it had to be Christmas.

"We’re going to have the wedding late afternoon so it will be dark and it will be lit by rows of Christmas trees and twinkly lights; I can’t wait."
