Sally Ann Matthews has had her coronavirus vaccine - exactly a year after she started experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

The 'Coronation Street' actress was jabbed on Saturday (27.03.21), and she took to Instagram to share diary entries she made last year on March 27th when she first experienced symptoms, such as a mild cough and diarrhoea.
The 50-year-old star wrote: "Yesterday, 27/3/21, I had the #astrazeneca vaccine. I realised it was exactly a year since I started with Covid symptoms. The screenshots above are from that time in 2020. How far we’ve come x (sic)"
The entries went from March 27th to April 16th, when she was "pretty much back to normal", although her taste and smell had "not fully returned" on that date.
Sally - who portrays Jenny Connor on the ITV soap - has now joked a joint entry for April 3rd-6th, which included "no diarrhoea today", was a "particularly highlight".
She wrote: "No diarrhoea today’ was a particular highlight in my rock n roll life x (sic)"
One of her symptoms included feeling as though her eyes had "spent too long in a swimming pool", and she also had a bloated stomach and lower right abdominal pain.
Sally's vaccine joy comes a month after her 'Corrie' co-star namesake Sally Dynevor - who portrays Sally Metcalfe - praised the NHS after she had her coronavirus vaccine.
She wrote on Twitter: "Thank you so much to our NHS. Had my vaccine and I’m so grateful. Thank you for everything you do (sic)"
