Rylan Clark-Neal used to be a laser eye councillor.
The 'Supermarket Sweep' presenter shot to fame when he appeared as a contestant on 'The X Factor' in 2012, but before he tried out his singing talents on national TV he worked for a high street opticians, where he would help people achieve their desire of laser eye surgery.
He said: "I used to be a laser eye councillor. I did it for a year.
"When laser eye surgery became a bit more mainstream I worked in a high street opticians.
"I'd be the one that if you sat there and said, 'I want laser eye surgery,' you would come to me and I would talk you through it all and then actually be in the surgery with you. Do surgery and then do your post-surgery check-up."
But the former 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' presenter joked the revelation has gone someway to spoiling his "dumb image".
Speaking on Danny and Dani Dyer's 'Sorted with the Dyers' podcast, he quipped: "This is really ruining my dumb image that I get away with."
This comes after the 32-year-old TV presenter joked last week that he is an "'X Factor' reject" who should've been "forgotten about in 2013".
He said: "My 'X Factor' anniversary is 10 years next year, and it's just ridiculous.
"Let's be honest, I'm an 'X Factor' reject.
"I should've been forgotten about in 2013.
"But somehow, someone was looking down on me and I was very, very lucky."
