Rylan Clark-Neal wants to take a year off to be a father.
The 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' host has become one of the nation's favourite presenters in recent years so fans will no doubt he devastated when they find out that he's planning to take 12 months away from work when he and his husband Dan Neal - who he married in 2015 - start trying for a baby of their own in the near future.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I'm already a stepdad but, of course, I'd like to have kids. Since day one I've always wanted kids. I love babies. It is definitely something that we will talk about and discuss if, how, when and why. It's doable. It's always on the table, it's just when the time is right. If I did have a baby, I'd be the sort to want a year off just to be a dad. There's a lot that I've got to look at."
However, right now, the 28-year-old star - who is a step father to Dan's 17-year-old son Cameron - is tied up presenting the spin-off show in the evenings and then dishing out all of the celebrity gossip during his showbiz segment on 'This Morning'.
He explained: "It takes over my life. I'm doing early morning and late nights, that's the hardest thing. But I especially love evictions. I'm just lucky to be doing what I do, and nothing will ever pull me away from 'Big Brother' ever."
Rylan certainly isn't short of work right now due to 'Big Brother', 'This Morning' and his new series 'Babushka' but he'll no doubt be devastated to hear his programme 'Up Late With Rylan', which saw him grill celebrities on their personal lives, will not be returning to screens this year after its debut in 2016 failed to pull in enough viewers.
A source said: "Rylan's show failed to pull in great ratings so bosses have decided to rest it. He enjoyed making it but unfortunately that's where the show ends."
