'Celebrity Big Brother' star Rylan Clark had his home invaded by "false widow spiders".
Rylan and his boyfriend Dan Neal, a former Operation Yewtree police officer and 'Big Brother' 13 contestant, were worried they would be bitten by the venomous insects, which are causing panic around the UK.
Dan, 33, tweeted: "I think I just found one of those #falsewidow spiders casually crawling in the garden!
"I have never seen a spider with markings like that before. #uurrggghh. (sic)"
He also told the Daily Star newspaper: "The spider did worry me when I saw it. It didn't look normal.
"It was the cross on its back that freaked me out. I don't like spiders and I was scared of this one. I was worried it would come in to the house.
"I've never been worried about being bitten by a spider in this country. I am now."
'X Factor' 2012 finalist Rylan, 25, who won 'Celebrity Big Brother' earlier this year, was not at their shared home in Essex when Dan came across the insect.
But he added: "He didn't see the spider. He would have freaked out!"
The romance between the pair has caused fireworks.
When hunk Dan went into Channel 5's 'Big Brother' show in June he was dating Matt Parker, 24.
Following his eviction they split and Dan started seeing TV presenter Rylan.
They have refused to speak publicly about their relationship but last week they let slip about it on Twitter.
Rylan tweeted: "I'm cooking tonight. Bit worried. #thewaytoamansheart."
And Dan, who has quit the police and launched a showbiz career, replied: "You already have my heart."
Rylan will be back hosting 'Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side' when the new series returns in January.
