Rylan Clark is set to make a grand return to 'The X Factor'.
The former 2012 contestant - who has since carved a career for himself as a reality star and TV presenter - has allegedly been offered a role travelling the country to interview the finalists' friends and families on ITV2 spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor'.
The 24-year-old joker will be taking over from Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend, Sinitta, who has often undertaken the job in the past.
A show insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Rylan was the one person on 'The X Factor' who everyone was talking about last year and the producers know fans would love to see him back this winter.
"He's got the charm and loves to have a laugh so he will bring out the best in his chats and probably get them to spill a few saucy beans about the 'X Factor' acts."
The candid interviews are aired each week on the spin-off show - presented by Caroline Flack and newcomer Matt Richardson - in a bid to give viewers a better insight into their lives.
Rylan made a big impression on the British public with his larger-than-life personality - rather than his singing skills - during his time on the competition.
The flamboyant star has since gone on to win 'Celebrity Big Brother' and is now hosting 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side'.
A spokesperson commented: "No definite decisions have been made yet on recurring formats or guests on 'Xtra Factor'."
