Ryan Thomas will finish filming his guest role on 'Neighbours' next week.
The 33-year-old actor jetted across to Australia - where the soap is filmed - last month to shoot his scenes as his alter-ego Rafael Humphreys but, although he hasn't been there very long, he's already made a huge impression on the cast and they will be sad to see him leave when his stint comes to an end in a few days' time.
A source told BANG Showbiz: "For someone with a big profile like Ryan, cast and crew have really been taken by surprise by the English star's laidback and kind nature - he will be missed when he wraps up his guest role at the end of next week."
Not much is known about Ryan's role at this moment in time, but his scenes will hit television screens across the nation in February and March next year.
The former 'Coronation Street' star - who left the long-running ITV soap as Jason Grimshaw last year - was thrilled when he bagged the role over the summer.
He said at the time: "I grew up watching 'Neighbours' so to get the chance to join the cast is amazing. I was on holiday with my daughter when I got a phone call from my agent asking if I'd like to play this part.
"I spoke to the producer and found out more - it was very different from anything I'd played before - it was quite a deep, dark story, that really interested me.
"It's a new challenge and I can't wait to start filming."
Greg Barnett, commissioning editor at Channel 5, added: "With his good looks and Corrie years under his belt, Ryan is the perfect handsome devil.
"His arrival in Erinsborough marks the start of darker times for a particular Ramsay Street favourite. Prepare to be gripped."
Ryan - who has eight-year-old daughter Scarlett with his former partner Tina O'Brien - left the cobbled streets of Weatherfield in 2016, and ever since he has been desperate to have a "complete change" in his career, and he was eager to break into Hollywood because he felt he needed to be taken out of his "comfort zone".
