Russell Tovey has three new shows in development.
The 39-year-old actor revealed he has written three comedy dramas and he is desperate to star in one of them.
Speaking on the podcast 'The Filling with Anna Barnett', he explained: "I've got three shows in development I've written.
"There was one about to happen, something we were getting traction on, but then lockdown happened. So we're gonna wait for that one.
"One of them I have to play – that's fine. But the other two, I could play one of the other parts. But if someone else walked in the room and auditioned and they were brilliant, then they should definitely do it."
Meanwhile, Russell recently revealed that he wants to be a "possibility model" for young LGBTQ people.
The openly-gay actor told Attitude: "People need mentors and people need to know there's someone else in the world who's like them so it's less scary and they have 'possibility models'.
"I think Laverne Cox coined that phrase; that she didn't want to be a role model, she wanted to be a possibility model. That, for me, is something that's really stuck.
"If we can all see people and go 'Ah, yeah, that's a possibility, I didn't realise that before'. Just to have people like that in the world is so important."
