Russell Kane taking part in the Barclaycard Unwind Smile Experiment
Russell Kane wants to play Al Pacino's son in a TV show.
The 32-year-old comedian is currently in talks to create his own sitcom and has set his sights on working with the 'Scarface' star in a programme he has provisionally titled 'Where's My Pop?'.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'd love to play Al Pacino's son in a sitcom. It would be great. I've already come up with the title, it could be called, 'Where's My Pop?'.
"I really, really want to write a sitcom or work on something scripted. There are some very interesting and exciting conversations going on behind the scenes."
But Russell insists he is a victim of his own success in that producers are always keen for him to portray himself in shows rather than a fictional character because he is so naturally funny.
He added: "I've made a rod for my own front because people want me to be me all the time. I'm funny as who I am. They want me on a chat show being me or they want an idea that's from me."
Russell recently took on another challenge as himself when he took to the streets of London for the 'Barclaycard Unwind Smile Experiment', in which he attempted to find out what makes the British public smile in everyday unexpected locations.
